NJCCPS Election and Seminar on Intellectual Properties and AJAX

5/20/2006日, 新州华人电脑协会(NJCCPS)在新州亚洲文化中心成功地举办了IT热门技术讲座和年度选举.

这次讲座内容丰富。首先, 周京雨博士（Jingyu Zhou）很全面地讲解了知识产权（Intellectual Property）保护方面的知识。他先介绍了专利的基本知识，再介绍如何申请专利，如何保护专利，以及怎样算侵犯专利权等等。听众与讲演者互动频繁。讲演结束，听众还意犹未尽，继续讨论。

接下来是一年一度的NJCCPS 会长选举。现任会长罗建刚再次被选为NJCCPS的下一任会长。罗会长向大家报告了一年来在大家的共同努力下NJCCPS 取得的可喜成果，介绍了下一年的工作打算。会员们给NJCCPS未来的工作提了许多很好的建议。

接下来Morgan Stanley 的高级顾问汤烈勇（Gary Tang）介绍了当前很热门的GUI技术 Ajax。汤先生讲解深入浅出，既讲基础知识，也举实例，使听众觉得很好理解。他还介绍了Easy AJAX，AJAX与Java的关系等。

Oracle 的 Consultant Technical Manager王奇(Qi Wang)给大家介绍了Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (BI&W)。他讲解了Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse 的发展过程，现状，及如何实现。他经历丰富, 讲解引人入胜。

另一位Oracle 的Sr. Principal Consultant董悦（Yue Dong）讲的是Oracle的DWR(Direct Web Remoting)。他介绍的Oracle的分析和制表工具把Ajax, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehouse联系在一起。他演示的实例让你觉的新的工具效率很高且有趣，不断学习新技术能节省很多工作时间。

INTRODUCTION & SPEAKER BIOGROPHY

Dr. Jingyu Zhou
Dr. Zhou graduated from Tsinghua in 1986 with a major in EE. He got his Master and Ph.D from England. He worked for Nortel in Canada as a senior engineer and Siemens in Florida as a manager of optical systems and then Innovance Networks as director of optical systems. In 2003,He join Thinkfire to start a career in IP.

The talk will give an introduction to patents and the business of patent licensing, with a particular focus on how the game is played.

Mr. Gary Tang, Sr. Consultant, Morgan Stanley
Mr. Tang is a Sr. Consultant in Morgan Stanley focusing on SOX solution to financial company. Before, he worked for Bear Stearns, Financial Times, TD, CIBC and American Express. He is extensively exposed to Java/J2EE technologies and enterprise solutions in financial and insurance industry.

AJAX is the hottest and most popular technology on web development in 2006. This lecture will cover introduction to AJAX framework, the way to implement AJAX, and benefit and issues of AJAX. DWR is Direct Web Remoting, which is an open source project to help java project to take advantage of AJAX. It is also called Easy AJAX for Java. Both IBM and BEA are supporting DWR now. The lecture will introduce the framework of DWR and how to implement DWR in java project.

Mr. Yue Dong, Sr. Principal Consultant, Oracle
Yue is a Sr. Principal Consultant from Oracle Corporation. He has over 16 years of working experience at various IT areas, in which 9 years are post Master Degrees. He has solid educational background with double Master Degrees at CS and owns seven renowned professional certificates (Java, JSP/Servlet, EJB, J2EE, Web Service, DBA) at IT. He is familiar with various Oracle technologies, such as 9i/10g, OLAP, 11i, SQL/PLSQL, JDeveloper, Portal, Workflow, Forms and Reports. He has extensive experience at Java/J2EE development using JSP/Servlet/UIX, Struts, EJB, ADF/BC4J/TopLink/, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, HTTP/SOAP, Web Service as well as design patterns. He was also a developer at finance modules of Oracle E-Business suite, such as Oracle Enterprise Budgeting & Planning, Oracle Dimension & Hierarchy Management, Oracle iBudgeting, Oracle Public Sector Budgeting and Oracle HRMS.

Mr. Qi Wang
Mr. Qi Wang is a Consultant Technical Manager with Oracle East Technology Service's Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (BI&W) consulting practice. He is responsible for implementing Oracle's Business Intelligence products, with specific emphasis on Express Server, Sales Analyzer, Financial Analyzer, and the 10g OLAP suite. For the past five years with Oracle and 10 year prior to that, he has participated in all phases of consulting projects, and has extensive experience in developing OLAP solutions within the Consumer Packaged Goods, Telecommunications and Pharmaceutical, and Financial industries.
