Water Towns on the South of the Yangtze River: Xuelin Pang Solo Exhibition

江南水情：庞学林水彩画展

"Water Towns on the South of the Yangtze River" set to open April 10th and run through April 21st features one outstanding Chinese artist, Xuelin Pang.

Xuelin Pang was born in Suzhou, China, a beautiful ancient city on the south of Yangtze River. He started to study the drawing when he was only 8 years old. Mr. Pang was an associate professor in Suzhou University before he came to America and published two textbooks.

His painting style has a unique and personal focus on the spirit of the art he is creating. He combines the techniques of western and traditional Chinese water ink styles to paint a beautiful and quiet south China's water town.

亚洲文化中心特别邀请著名水彩画家庞学林在新泽西亚洲美术馆举行名为“江南水情”的个人水彩画展。

庞学林出生于中国苏州，八岁开始习画，深受中国第一代美术教育家颜文梁先生赞赏。他毕业于南京艺术学院和中央工艺美术学院。曾在苏州大学艺术学院任副教授。著有「水印木版画技法」和「经典园林花窗图式」两本教材著作。

庞学林在水彩画领域独树一职。他运用水彩干、湿各有风格的特点，融合中国水墨技法，将中国江南水乡朦胧淡雅之美，刻划得淋漓尽致。本次画展将展出其中16幅作品，其中那一幅幅似在雾中的诗意水乡风景，典雅清新，水润心田，再创江南水乡的灵气和秀色。

《古镇石桥》，这是典型的水乡景物，是通过桥及沿河房舍所建构的意境，表现出水乡的温馨、宁静；而沐浴于和暖春风之中的景物，又是一片祥和而又古朴。此画以水为主，越施淡影，把房舍和水组成的肌理揉成一体，给人一种浑然雅淡清新的美感。

“江南好，风景旧曾谙，日出江花红胜火，春来江水绿如蓝，能不忆江南？”

画展将从4月10日起至4月21日，周一至周五每天早上11点至下午6点，地点在新泽西亚洲文化中心1876 Rt. 27, Edison NJ 08817。
